    ICON SPEAKERS 2017

    Dr Shubh Gautam,
    President & CEO, Srisol Group

“Your generation is the luckiest generation ever. In 70’s when the Industrial revolution started, it took the industrial giants 50-60 years to reach where they are. And for you it will not take more than 20-30 years to reach the same height. … You are lucky. I wish I was a part of your generation.”

    Mr Ganesh Chella,
Vice Chairman & MD, Coaching Foundation of India

“Leadership is an act when you decide to do something and it’s a scale that can be acquired. All of us, right now, have the ability to show leadership.

    Mr Rajendra Gogri,
Chairman & Managing Director, Aarti Industries Ltd

“Previously the buzz word was- Substitute to import. Now the buzz word has changed to –“Scale, cost competitiveness, and export.” So as import duties started coming down, you are thrown into the world where you have to compete against the world leaders. So the important thing is to be competitive in the world market, so that you can always beat them in Indian market.”

    Mr Vivek Paranjape
Strategic HR Consultant, Reliance Industries Ltd

“You don’t need an MBA to be a leader. What you need is the right attitude. Right attitude and belief can be easily acquired if you have the open mind. An open mind that keeps challenging your all existing believes, keeps removing the mistakes of the past and keeps directing towards the course of new actions. So leaders don’t necessarily are born. They need to be coached and not necessarily trained at the classroom.”

    Mr Ramki Subramanian,
    Head, Business Development, RIL

“Don’t use technology for the sake of technology. Don’t get seduced by technology. Technology is a means to an end, and not an end to itself.”

    Mr Niladri Roy
    Co- Founder, Thought Arbitrage Transformation

“Making a choice is important, and making a choice is not about doing a job, but expressing yourself. Lot of people who fail miserably in life land up doing things for the choices they never make. Whenever you are thinking about your career, the things to look at for yourself is the will that you want to do this and for how long, and this should come from heart.”

    Ms Sujata Chogle
GM-HR, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL)

Communication gives you the world’s perspectives which otherwise you will not have.

    Mr Tej Dialani
Head of Strategic Projects, Regional Business Services India, Clariant India Limited

“If you want to learn something, you have to go through a hard path. And never, ever feel bad about it.”

    Ms Leja Hattingadi
    Adjunct Professor, IIT Bombay

“Everything is up-coming. There is always more to be done, nothing is stuck and sealed. Go where your heart wills.”
