About Refining & PetroChemicals World Expo 2019
CHEMTECH will organise Refining & Petrochemicals World Expo 2019 & concurrent conference during CHEMTECH World Expo 2019 from 20-23, February 2019 in Bombay Exhibition Center Goregaon (East), Mumbai, India. The event will once again create a platform for the professionals from India and overseas to witness the latest trends in technologies during the exhibition and provide opportunity to interact during the concurrent conference.
The refiners are scouting for state of the art technologies for the upcoming facilities, upgrade and revamp of old equipment and processes. Over the last decade , the Indian refining sector has seen phenomenal growth and created a huge market for the technology, services and processing equipment. Globally, Indian Refining industry is witnessing robust growth with massive investments planned by PSUs as well as the private refiners for Greenfield projects and Brownfield expansions. One day conference on the theme ““Hydrocarbon Industry in Emerging Environment Friendly World” is scheduled on Friday, February 22, 2019. At present, our total refining capacity is approximately 240 MMT. In the next 5-6 years, there isn’t much addition in the refineries in India except the west coast refineries that is about 60 MMT, which is still on the drawing board.

Refiners will like to convert as much as possible into the value added product which would require more hydrogen. In such a scenario, it makes sense for the refiners to think about revamping the existing hydrogen plants to meet the demand gap.
