Oil refining industry makes a big impact on the country’s economy and has been a core focus industry for the ChemTECH World Expo series of exhibitions and conferences since inception. Chemtech will organize 12th edition of Refining & Petrochemicals World Expo & parallel technical conference concurrently during ChemTECH World Expo 2022 from February 22-25, 2022 in Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (East), Mumbai.

At the turn of the millennium, India had the capacity of 113 MMTPA which has more than been doubled over the last 18 years with capacity additions by Public Sector Oil Companies, as well as by the Private Sector and the Joint Ventures. With 23 refineries, total capacity of 250 MMTPA 6 aromatic complexes with a combined Xylene capacity of 4.45million MT and out of the total production of major petrochemicals the production of polymers account for about 59.32%.

Though India has evolved as one of the key global players, this industry is facing unprecedented challenge due to sudden demand disruption of refining products and petrochemicals.

While the industry will take time to turnaround, Chemtech aims to bring together the stakeholders of this industry to see the display of state of the art technologies and equipment for the refiners and downstream petrochemical manufacturers during the four days of tradeshow. Parallel thematic conference on topics of utmost relevance will enable the professionals to understand the future industry outlook, product demand, and evolving business and technology ecosystems as the world starts to settle with the New Normal.
