The tectonic shifts that are required by our industry to achieve net zero emissions, sustainable production processes and the policies & regulations that will enable these shifts which will in turn enable our end users to actuate their own sustainability goals can be formulated in conferences such as these which are organized by Chemtech through face-to-face interaction between industry leaders and delegates from various sectors of process industry along with the people from academia who are the support structure in this entire shift as they will develop the future leaders who will empower the shift through innovations

I think this is a great opportunity all of us have to think differently and not linearly, laterally and by thinking differently the leaders of the various organization present here can provide this kind of the green growth which is possible in India and when I speak of achieving green growth, sustainability it should be realized by the industry by looking at various case studies that walking on the sustainability path, achieving green growth is not expensive in fact it is cost and energy saving and benefits the industry and society.
Dr Habil Khorakiwala

If anybody wants to do China plus one in terms of Chemical Industry we are the natural choice but to leverage that position we have some hurdles, hurdles and not challenges, one of the hurdles is we lack in innovation and indigenous R &D, the technology we lack to automate the process, to make our process more efficient in terms of resource and energy utilization this is where we need policies and regulation from the government that would enable the industries to invest more in R & D, these regulation can be tax incentives for capital invested in R & D, such interventions from government would really catalyze the growth of Indian Chemical Industry.”
Mr. Rajendra Gogri
CMD, Aarti Industries ltd.
I think the sustainability agenda is not a particularly new one and certainly for the last 10-15 years many companies have been focusing on sustainability, a lot of the focus in the prior decade was really on whatever you could do to sustainability in terms of manufacturing processes and factories. However bigger the company the amount of difference that it can make in its own operations to the environment is relatively small and what consumer companies across the world are realizing it's not their own manufacturing footprint that matters it is the consumer footprint
Mr. Sudhir Sitapati
MD & CEO, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd
Back in 2003 while designing chips into mobile and Wi-Fi, we were talking about 180 nanometer technology and today we are talking 5 nanometers, and research at 3 nanometers, products at 5 nanometer. To explore some of the chemicals for other proposes, can we use them because as we try to make more manufacturing of electronics here, we are suddenly successful for semiconductors are we ready for a local ecosystem to build those chemicals.
Dr. Aloknath De
Corporate Vice President, Samsung Electronics; C.T.O. Samsung R & D Institute India
According to a study done by The National Skill Development Council on Chemical Engineering Academics, Curriculum and on the Chemical Industry as a whole the Skill Gap is widening year on year, we will be falling short of skilled chemical industry personnel soon enough which would decrease our growth rate towards Net Zero Emissions, Carbon Neutrality and so on ultimately hampering our COP26 goal of becoming Net Zero by 2070, to avoid this we need to design a better academic framework which has more focus towards Sustainability, Environmental Impacts et cetera, this way more youth who want to act for a better Earth would join the workforce
